Matted or Packed Undercoats

De-matting can be done on a case by case basis at the groomers discretion.

We reserve the right to alter or cease your pets groom if our trained professional staff deem it necessary to maintain your pets safety. Removing a matted/packed coat may cause nicks, cuts, abrasions and/or reveal skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. It can also trap moisture and urine near the pet’s skin, allowing mold, fungus, or bacteria to grow. After-effects of mat removal can include itchiness, redness, ear hematomas, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions, or failure of hair to regrow. In some cases, pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes.

Senior Pets & Puppies

The grooming process can be a stressful time for both elderly pets and puppies. If your pet exhibits any signs of stress, grooming services may be stopped.

SENIOR PETS: We reserve the right to alter your pet’s groom if our trained grooming professional staff deem it necessary to maintain your pet’s safety. Complex hand scissors and patterned cuts may be declined.

PUPPIES: We recommend beginning the grooming process after your puppy’s first round of vaccines has been administered. Your pet needs to become familiar and comfortable with grooming. Your puppy’s first few grooming appointments may include ONLY the basic services to get used to the process unless otherwise deemed by our trained grooming professional that upgraded/full grooming services can be provided! We have the right to turn any pet away should we see that he/she might not be up for the grooming regimen!
